Winter is here, and that means various skin issues caused or exacerbated by cold, dry air are also on their way. That dry air can dehydrate the skin, which is particularly troublesome for people who already have dry skin. In some cases, dry air will cause a person’s sebaceous glands to work overtime, so their skin abruptly shifts from dry to oily. Fortunately, there are various skin care treatments that can hydrate the skin and make it look better for the holidays.
What is HydraFacial®?
HydraFacial® is a non-surgical facial treatment that involves exfoliation, hydration, and the application of special serums. It can be used to treat problems like the following:
• Uneven or dull skin tone
• Oily skin that may also have clogged pores
• Wrinkles and fine lines
• Enlarged pores
• Uneven texture
• Decreased firmness or elasticity
A HydraFacial® treatment is performed in the comfort of our office. We will start by exfoliating the client’s skin in order to both remove dead skin cells and make the skin better able to absorb the serums that will be used to hydrate the skin.
What is Laser Skin Resurfacing?
Laser skin resurfacing is a cosmetic and non-surgical procedure done to rejuvenate the skin. While it is most commonly done on the face, we can also resurface the chest, neck, and hands. We can use the laser system to minimize such blemishes as:
• Moderate wrinkles
• Moderate lines
While laser skin resurfacing won’t stop the aging process, the results can last for a long time, and treatments can simply be repeated as needed for ongoing benefits.
What is Obagi?
Obagi is a line of medical-grade skin care products made by Obagi Medical, a pharmaceutical company founded in 1988 by a group of skin care experts.
